The transparent electrode is a main component of a solar photovoltaic device, and the need for alternative materials of the electrode in the industry becomes increasingly urgent. Traditional Transparent Conducting Oxide (TCO) need to be deposited at high vacuum and high temperature, with low production yield. Currently, the ITO material is the most widely used as the transparent electrode, and its substitute is being actively researched. CNT film, as a kind of emerging material, is expected to replace TCO as the conductive transparent electrode of solar cell.
The application of CNT film in photovoltaic device as a transparent electrode is related to its high work function. Additionally, CNT film has good mechanical flexibility and surface porosity as its strength, in which the latter shows better charge separation and high fill factor in the photovoltaic device.
